Dr James Aspinall MBBS FRACS (UROL) Specialist Urologist

Dr Aspinall is a senior visiting specialist at the Royal Adelaide Hospital and has been a practicing urologist privately since 1999. He was born in Adelaide, educated in the Adelaide hills at Heathfield primary and High schools prior to his undergraduate university education at the Flinders University. His post graduate education to become a surgeon occurred in all of the teaching hospitals in Adelaide including the then Adelaide Childrens Hospital. He also studied for 3 years full time researching the role of Testosterone receptors and their mutations in Prostate Cancer at Flinders University. He completed a year of post fellowship at the University hospital of Wales in Cardiff, learning reconstructive Urology including Urethral reconstruction for complex urethral stricture disease. He is married with 2 adult children.

Dr Mary-Ann Fox Specialist anaesthetist

Dr Fox is a Senior Staff Specialist at the Royal Adelaide Hospital and also provides all anaesthesia for Dr Aspinall in private hospitals and at the RAH. She has over 20years experience in providing anaesthesia. She has an in-depth knowledge of urological procedures and has a pre-operative assessment clinic at the rooms in Fullarton every Wednesday morning to assess and discuss anaesthesia for complicated and high risk patients, and for those having major urological procedures.
