Medicare Australia rebates apply to each visit and we request the full amount of the account to be paid on the day and this is then claimed electronically through Medicare for your convenience.

Estimates for surgery are provided before your procedure and accounts for privately insured patients will be sent directly to the nominated private health fund provider. Depending on your private health fund provider an additional gap payment may be required.

If you do not have private health insurance, arrangements may be made for your procedure to be done privately as a full fee paying patient. We will provide full financial information prior to arrangement of any procedure. The estimate of Fees will include Dr Aspinall’s fee, the Anaesthetist fee, and hospital bed stay including the operating theatre fee. Following confirmation of any arrangements the fees are to be paid in full to Dr Aspinall, his anaesthetist and the hospital prior to the date of the procedure.

Dr Aspinall is a visiting specialist urologist at St Andrew’s Hospital and the Riverland General Hospital Berri. Uninsured patients who elect to have their procedures performed in the public sector may be placed on a waiting list at any of these institutions.

Your medical details are treated as strictly confidential. Our staff are bound through their employment conditions that no information will be released to any third party without your consent.  It is necessary at times that your information be shared with other health professionals linked to your care, who also are bound by this confidentiality agreement.
